Veterans Day Letter Writing Class

Letter Writing Structure & Brainstorming!

15 minute pre-recorded Video Class on the theme of Veterans Day, using the IEW keyword outline method.

THIS IS A SELF-DIRECTED VIDEO CLASS. NOT A LIVE CLASS.

After purchase, you will receive materials to take the class at your own pace.

In class, students will enjoy hearing a few fun facts about Veterans Day and the significance of the poppy, learn the 5 parts of a letter (structure), and discuss brainstorming questions for writing letters to veterans.

They will create a keyword outline plan for writing a letter to a veteran which they can then use to write their letter to a veteran they know, or send a letter to one of the suggested charities.

This class includes a link to a 15 minute video lesson, plus a PDF Resource that includes

  • Parts of a letter template
  • a blank keyword outline form
  • a Veterans Day Word Bank
  • Brain Questions for this topic

PLUS: You'll receive 5 Veterans Day poppy-themed letter printable templates. 4 are wide ruled and 1 is preschool ruled. Students can pick from these or use their own stationery to write a meaningful letter.

Checking out will register you for class. You will receive a Thank You Email with your PDF Resource and the link to the Video Class.
